BHT-BASIC 4.0 Development Pack

This software package enables you to develop BHT applications, especially for retail, warehousing, and manufacturing settings.

BHT-BASIC 4.0 Development Pack includes:

  • BHT-BASIC 4.0 Compiler (including BHT-BASIC3.6)
  • BHT-BASIC 4.0 Remote Debugger (debugging BHT-BASIC3.6 is enabled)
  • BHT-BASIC 4.0 Transfer Utility (including BHT-Ir protocol)
  • PC-BHT cable (RS232C)

Easy Language

The language (based on Microsoft MS-BASIC) is ideal for terminals, with features unique to barcode reader with just one command. Included are commands and functions exclusively used for barcode reading and data reception/transmission.

Development Flexibility

For BHT-300 series scanners, this software expands the capabilities of the prior version (BHT-BASIC 3.6). It supports larger sizes for program and data files. Additional programming advances, e.g., extended variable and label lengths, make this an efficient and flexible tool for development. (The BHT-7000/BHT-7500/BHT-8000/BHT-100 series still use BHT-BASIC 3.6 basic elements.)

Error Prevention

Since BHT-BASIC operates in the interpreter environment, it is reliably free from failures such as breakdowns or memory destruction caused by programming errors.

Compatibility

Using BHT-BASIC 4.0 you can compile a source program written by BHT-BASIC 3.x with no modification required. (However, programs that rely on the hardware for such things as communication speed, should be appropriately modified.)
