DENSO ADC, the Americas sales arm of DENSO Wave Incorporated, inventor of the QR Code®, announced the introduction of its latest BHT-900 Series of handheld barcode terminals. The affordable new devices feature convenient C-language programming and USB connection directly to a PC. Other communications capabilities include Media Transfer Protocol (MTP), Bluetooth 2.1 (BHT-904BB model) and batch communication via RS232C or USB. Pre-installed software enables instant, out-of-the-box use for basic data-collection applications.

Advanced CCD technology allows the BHT-900 terminals to recognize even hard-to-read or damaged barcodes, at a high maximum speed of 400 scans per second. The devices can run for an exceptionally long 200 hours between charges and are extremely robust, having been tested to withstand 60 drops onto concrete from a height of 3.9 feet.

The slim, lightweight devices have an ergonomic design, for easy touch or distance scanning, and a large, easy-to-see display. Up to three trigger keys allow operation without changing grip, reducing operator fatigue.
